One of the first SAP IS-Retail implementation in India, PESL successfully executed the project for the client with an end-to end solution to include PESL’s ‘iRetail’ as a front end and SAP IS Retail as the core ERP

The client had launched a unique concept of a chain of retail stores selling agriculture products called 'Hariyali Kisaan Bazaar' (HKB) across number of states in India. They wanted a solution that would take care of the entire retail operation with SAP as the core ERP. The client decided to go ahead and implement SAP IS Retail and PESL’s iRetail product as the front end system. However this posed several challenges:

• Scarcity of resources with real-life functional or technical experience in implementing SAP IS Retail as this would have been one of the first SAP IS-Retail implementation
• Integration challenges and provide straight through processing in a scenario where iRetail would be the front end system and SAP IS retail would be the core ERP

The project was successfully delivered with a well integrated solution, where SAP IS-Retail provided capability to take care of all back-office functions and processes such as Planning, Warehousing, Replenishment, and Business-to-Business Sales and Polaris iRetail took care of the Point of sale at the retail outlets.
